Hmm, I tend to disagree. I swapped out a b-pipe for a type 9 in my Superjet recently. It fits better, doesn't rub on anything, and has more bottom end punch than I was ever able to get with the limited chamber. I've had zero problems with the couplers on the 2 type 9's I've run.
A new total loss with loads of advance mixed with a type 9 make for a happy skier, and I'll be sticking with this setup for a while I think. I can freestyle this thing after work, and then swap the ride plate and intake grate and go racing on the weekend. It kills most modded sxr's in a straight line and off the starts (if you can hang on!)
The R&D dry pipe? Yep, not a bad performer, but as said, keeping the whole thing together after you clearance the hood lip and hood is tricky. We've had troubles trying to get it to hit properly off the bottom/mid while also getting good rpm/mph up top. Each to thier own though. Any pipe can be good if set up properly.
