It's gonna be choppy. East Winds at 13mph. Pure Ocean insanity. I will predict a few sunken boats. (not mine)

With such big surf, I think we need some safety in the surf guidlines. It is no joke out there...

First of all, everyone needs to put tow loops on their ski, both front and back.

See Honey...... I knew that I should of planned on bringing my tow boat....mmmm I mean sit down

I don't care how big it is as long as it isn't windswept and choppy. Nothing worse than spotting a wave and then as you get up to it realize that it has a junior wave right in front of it blocking an approach. Ah crap, who am I kidding. I suck equally in any kind of surf.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but it's usually very choppy

Please everybody have an easily accessable tow rope with quick release clips at each end. (I wrap mine around my waist 3x) Also a tow loop tied on front and back of the ski. A simple break down and tow in can be difficult on hairy surf days! You don't wanna be out there getting slammed by waves while trying to tie a friggin knot.

I've got my fingers crossed for 70's and surf!

Never ridden in Daytona, does it get shallow there ?

I can't believe Saki is staying out of this one!:haha:

Holly shiot, us flatwater boyz are gonna get hammered. Will the inner inlet be cleaner?
Ive never ridden the inlet at Daytona, but with such big surf you are better off in the zone. Inlets often cause the surf to pop up even higher, and with the current you would have, breaking down could leed to a very painfull ride onto some hard objects..but ya it would be allot cleaner

yeah, i'd also only like to add that if youre riding behind/in close proximity of the guy next/in front of you.. dont assume he's just gonna jump the wave.. look out for reentries, nosestabs, basically any move where the rider will change directions either left/right or a complete 180 back at you.

i dont know if that came out the right way.. someone help me out here..

Yeah dude I'll second that. With this many people coming there is bound to be a few collisions. I just don't want to see anyone land on anyone else.
