Interesting take on that. I’ve pulled down a couple motors running ski craft and a couple running R50. The R50 motors have a crank that looks like it’s coated in honey, but sooty pistons.

Ski craft motors have good looking pistons but not much oil in the cases. Possibly a mix might be the right thing.

For what it’s worth I had a 1200cc motor sit under freshwater for around 16 months that was immaculate on the inside and I was running Red dominator. Nothing needed rebuilt, no rust, she’s alive and ripping today.
Supertec/penzoil works good and they’re awesome for your put around skis but there’s a big fat zero percent chance I’d run any of that stuff in a 5-6 thousand dollar short block.

Thanks for the info! I noticed the same thing on the engine tear downs, R50 always left in the film on the metal and I rarely had any issues. I never would’ve thought of mixing it with skicraft but that sounds like a good thing to try. What’s weird is I didn’t get a lot of carbon buildup with it either it seem pretty clean burning in a non PV jetski motor.

Hmm...I'm partial to Maiden Oil personally. But you have to be careful with the production facility of it, sometimes it can have a lesser desirable scent to it. I prefer the neutral clean scent myself :p
