man o man. i picked her up on saturday and rode on sunday. i cant believe how strong the motor is in this thing. it is a super sweet balance between a 125 and a 250 (2 stroke). this thing pulls so hard on the mid range i was over jumping jumps like crazy. i can handle pretty much anybody around here on my 125 but now i really have some power to massacre some thumpers. this bad boy came with Brembo brakes, v force 3 reeds, cnc'd triple clamps, monster hubs and allot of other sweet little details. i suggest to all that if u find one at a track, beg to ride it!!!!!!

ps

yamasaki, if u read this, i know i shoulda bought a 4 stroke. but they are for lazy people. :purr:

hahaha.. nah, it's cool.

that thing looks tight.. however, i think someone stole your rear linkage.

lol, yup no linkage. makes it easier to remove the shock. i read on AMA's site that it is legal in the amateur lites class but not in professional. man this thing has tons of midrange roll on power. it feels like a miniature 250 2 stroke. i still need to tweak the jetting to get the bottom to clear up. after that this thing will be freakin perfect for how i ride. i love it. the freakin brakes are killer too.:djsmilie:

I used to love riding my friends 125, you had to keep it revved to make power but that thing was so light and flickable. Love the power of my 250 but it always seemed a little heavy. That bike should be the best of both worlds.

Yep, thats my kinda bike!.... But I want to build a bigbore YZ125.... Older Ktm's dont handle for shiot! I here they have gotten better though.

oh they have trust me. the 144 floats nicely in the air and corners 10000000 times better than the last ktm i rode (03 125 sx). i still have my 05 YZ 125 and i dont think a bike on this planet could handle as well as it does. i throw it around like a bicycle. the 144 feels a little longer but on a 1-10 scale (even though ive only gotten to ride it once) id give it like a 7 or 8 on handling. the YZ would be like a freakin 10. but that extra 20 ccs sure makes a big difference. i thought about going big bore on my 125 but i just prefer the reliability of factory stuff.

over the years, ive learned that there are really only 2 kinds of ktm people.. people who LOVE them... and people who HATE them....

i think theyre pretty flippin sweet. they come so decked out ... i look at them like a Polaris Octane..
True, that. My '07 250 XCW came with all those goodies chart102 is talking about, including hydraulic clutch, etc. If only they'd put a decent pipe on there that doesn't crack or taco so easily :banghead:
