that stuff happens really fast.. if i remember correctly, the back half of my bike actually slid down the side of the jump. i guess i'm lucky the back tire didnt hit anything hard enough to bounce off of. that wouldve been a disaster. i think i was actually half on the bike, half off the bike when i landed since one half of the bike was sliding down the side of the jump... it was pretty scary, i wont lie. lol.

funny thing is that's the 2nd time that happens to me. the first time i landed front wheel down and it just sank into the side of the jump and sent me flying headfirst into the ground. that hurt. :veryhappy:

you always gotta be different don't ya?

maybe it's kinda like trail riding, you get kinda tired of the some trail over and over so you make a new path.

have you tried running the track backwards yet? do it while everyone else is going the regular way!

hell no! that was yesterday on my GB Works setup (including new Factory Connection springs all around)!

God i love the feel of nice, fresh suspension.

What I meant was...Do you feel that you would have ridden out of that w/o your new suspension. The reason I mention that it because I really think that if I had the bike and suspension set up that I have now...when I broke my leg...That I don't break that leg! That yami had a Race tech set up but I don't think it was dailed in for me. That's the difference suspension makes.

I need to work on the longer TT's for clearance. I'm doing the one after that one and then the one way in the back. I'm working in a couple things this w/e. That table and the FL table are on the menu.

On the table in the back...is #7 hitting that table and then clearing the single right after? Like a table/single then right turn into the last straight?

hmm... iffy on the suspension question only because the jump you got tore up on was pretty dam tiny. i think that was just freak-accident type stuff.

but suspension is DEFINITELY the #1 component for MX/SX.

forget motor mods, stock is plenty fast.

oh hell yeah, the A/B guys are hitting that little table and flying over the single behind it.. bean does it too sometimes.. ive seen 971 do it.. ive even seen little joey keel 819 clear that... there was a dude out there yesterday clearing that all whipped out.. it was SICK!

That's gonna hurt...you case or slipout there it's rag doll time...like the time when bubba decided to use RC's back as a landing point!

I would say that's the 100% mark at that track...what in your opinion what is the most extreme jump or combo being done there on the mx track?

i see the difficulty level on the mx track like this:

1) that huge table over the single jump we're talking about

2) triple in or triple out before going up seminole hill instead of double/double/single (not many people are doing that even tho its not "big")

3) finding a really fast line on the front straight with the kicker/hill. believe it or not, i think a lot of people lose alot of time there. finding a good line there is not as easy as it looks/sounds.

4) finding a fast line in the woods section when its full of braking bumps.. another place you can lose/gain alot of time

5) jumps.... the finish line, and then the big table where the six pack used to be.

i know my list my seem weird at first. i put two of the biggest jumps on the mx track at the bottom, but i listed my points in order of where i think you will have faster lap times, as opposed to better pictures.

remember i still used to spank strick on the sx track when he was doing all the big jumps and i wasn't. i would even give him like 5 second headstarts. fast lines and fast corners are where 90% of your speed is at. jumps are fun, but speed is #1.

:usa:

that happened right in front of me, my friends and i were right along the fence at the bottom of the hill at unadilla, they were going so fast it was unbelievable

sweet!

i dont think that was as bad on bubba as people make it out to be. yes, i'm a bubba fan, but ive watched that vid 1,000 times.. you can see bubba comes down in a straight line and ricky comes down at an angle (becuase he came in from a corner on the inside line) and drifts as he comes down.

it was a terrible thing to happen, but like you said, they both were flying! and they both took different lines that just merged together.. if bubba wouldve actually landed, you know he wouldve passed ricky right there with the line/speed he had..
