Im thinking about building a new pole for my SXR. Looking for suggestions on building this. The reason Id like your input is because if this goes as planned I may market them for sale. Id build them with cost in mind because I know how bad these ski's eat up the money. I'll probably look...
If your riding in any sort of chop the FX1 blows. Its great for throwing it around and play riding though! I'll never forget my buddy and I taking off across the lake to the restaraunt and huge wind came up about half way across. Worst day of my life on that FX1.
Fiberglass

Ketsair,
Thanks for the reply! I'm going to give this a try in the next few weeks. Anymore info would be appreciated. My biggest issue is going to be making that hole in the front strong and getting the sheets to lay flat while applying.
Ya, it looks like it was a misunderstanding. I didnt use the quotes right it looks... Sorry about that. Im still wanting to know products, Some steps to follow, and if I have to repaint the nose what to use ? Thanks

In case its not obvious the rub rail has to come off..See what it looks like then. Is there damage to the lower hull? Can you get at the spot from inside at all?
I understand the rub rail will have to come off. Its broken thru where both...
Duct tape.... Thats what that Yamaha sticker was for in the front. Now that its winter I should probably make a better fix. Looking for suggestions...

I didn't do it - I promise. Relatives home for my sisters wedding took out the GP1200R and didnt realize there are no brakes. Luckily it was only a slow collision into the dock. Im wanting to repair it now. Looking for advice on products, and what the best procedure would be ? Id like...
Isnt that the truth ! I swore when I got my SX-R (christine) it was staying stock. I bought it in the winter of 03' and before I even got it into the water it had a pipe, carbs, etc... :headbang:
SXR = Christine
I named it after that movie with the car that was posesed. The first year I had this ski it drove me nuts. As soon as I'd add a aftermarket to it something else would go wrong. Crazy ! Now its happy since I havent touched it in over a year. :fingersx:
I have a SX-R with dual pulse lines (tapped cases) and it worked fine. If I had to do it all over again Id go with the Reed cages from TBM that have the pulse line already installed on it. just fyi.
