650/X-2 Kawasaki X2 hood vent?
As it looks like it leads to nothing there is a small opening for air, reason it's so small is so it won't take on much water. I do NOT recommend taking this off. It's not necessarily for cooling the motor, but providing air for the carb. If you're concerned about it taking on water I suggest...- riverrider650

Pipe Ventilation Disconnected
You may have to remove the gas can if it's not accessible. Give it a try without removing it first however. As for the gas in the hull, I would just hose it down with water, wipe it with a towel, and suck it out with a shop vac. How hard is it to barrel roll or nose stab a 650sx? I have a very few upgrades to it such as pjs ride plate, ported and polished head, slippery handlebars, turf esc.
