Does anyone know if the older rickter fr/fs2 float or sinks

Looking for first hand accounts. Im just wondering if the older fr/fs2 floats or sinks to the bottom. I believe it has foam so I'd think it may bob just at the surface like an SJ. But as heavy as these Damn things are i just don't know. Thanks in advance. Chuck Palmucci

    OEM 155 Pump Talk

I love the idea of the oem yamaha 155 pump and i believe it is a very good option. With a tbm pump stuffer to increase stator center diameter and the correct pitch prop for your engine and hull it can be awesome. For the hard core flat water guys the major disadvantage is there is no way to set...

Imminent motor rebuild, advice/tech info needed.

Running used, carefully inspected miss match parts, and Pistons with dings in the top is a bit different then what was done with this engine. There are severe gouges in the piston and cylinder wall. Some one took time to re open the ring gland for the new rings. This is something i could see...

Imminent motor rebuild, advice/tech info needed.

You guys are totally correct. I see pistons come out like that after bearing or ring failure so often i skipped right past the fact that the rings look perfect. Crazy to think someone would do that. Reassemble an engine with those Pistons and the bore looking like that. If they had the...

If crank does check out ok. I'm thinking throttle or choke screws came loose. It Def ingested something metal. Deto is not to blame for this one

Ada YA7631 means: Yamaha 760 (84mm-86mm bore) 31cc combustion chamber volume. WAY to aggressive compression ratio for pump fuel (unless domes have been modified).

Free ride vs freestyle vs race engine

@holeshot and i may differ by a few degrees on what is optimal for our watercraft port timing. And i agree 100 percent that pipe tuning, squish clearance, among other tuning variables make a huge difference. But to say a 200 degree exhaust with no power valve will have as much off idle power as...

    New Pistons

@waxhead if you had one in your hands you'd be able to see there is almost nothing similar to wiseco. If they are anything like any wisecos id say they are closest (still not that close) to the pro lite wisecos. Under side of the Pistons is just as much a work of art as the top.

    New Pistons

That's the wossner single ring beauty sitting on this php top end I built a while back. Great Pistons. And a bunch lighter then other 89mm pistons and still strong as hell.
