You answered you own question. If the ski is "air tight" then why would foam get wet? Because it's not air tight.... Then fills with water.... Then sinks your boat... Then you are SOL.

I like the idea of skis straight from the builder with no foam. It really helps the industry. Smart hull builders. Saving the sport one sunk ski at a time.

It looks kinda cool but the more and more I see it it really looks like a gimmick. The full 360 video where the world looks like a ball looks confusing and worthless and the actual video looks super fish eyed and quality looks bad. I mean, it's cool you can spin the video but that's about it.
