I’d buy one...if your making the tooling again, make it so it will fit a sj too...all it needs is the backside flattened out a bit and you will make it a lot more marketable to sell

Those ribs don’t look shaved down to me, still think someone used foam to level it all out before adding the CF

Someone likely filled the bond line with foam too smooth it out than laid the CF over it. Not the proper way imo, I’d try and rip it all out and do it properly...cabosil and micro balloons to a peanut butter consistency to fill bond line than glass over it.

I’m no Rickter expert but I do know some of the early fs2 had polystyrene foam, so if water did get in the tray just add drains and drain it out. Thinking this is likely the case for most RickterS with foam.

I think the Measurement for the destroyer sponson placement on a pre 08 sj is 37.5 inches from the back, so that gives you a reference to see where they are actually placed on the hull.

Coming from the Kawi to this rockered sj is a big handling change to what your probably use to, before you go through many extensive hull mods I’d try an extended plate first...may be what your looking for, help with stability and handling. If you have the time, resources and skill set I’d...
