Any of those dates work for me. Neil you should tag everyone in the post again - I almost missed this thread.
You can camp at boyd. It is mostly an RV park (with full electric, ect) but I think there are regualr sites as well. Here is a link to where you can reserve the sites - put the dates...
Nothing wrong with the seller. It was just a mistake - I have a claim going through with UPS and hopefully Freightquote and I can settle on something reasonable.
Thanks for the help everyone.
For any future people that are having to go through this - I got FS/FR hull specs from Rickter. PM me for a copy of the PDF. (not sure how to attach it here)
Also, I paid freight quote ~$325 to ship a complete 400+ lb SXR last year from NC to CO. So, I dont know what the problem is here.
Apply three thin coats to both the hull and the turf. You need to let it completely dry between coats.
Use a heat gun to stretch around footholds (you are putting in footholds - right?) I can help you if you need. Dont let the turf get too hot, just enough to move around
Pictures or it didnt happen.
The racing scene (which seems to be growing) needs another racing standup. Something like HSR is building - but easier to get ahold of.
When will the 2015's come out?
I know the 150 was off - like I said it felt heavier. But my cousin and I still lifted the crate and hauled it from my truck to my garage. I have a hard time believeing the 420#
I just feel the additional $444 is unfair. Im willing to pay more for a heavieir load (as a mistake was made), but...
Ya, never shipped an empty hull before.
Lesson learned here - guess others will learn from my mistake as well.
Didnt know $600+ was common cost for shipping a hull. Ouch
Shipped in a crate. I think we have now established our estimates are off - is that fault of the shipper or buyer?
The more important thing here is - something that weighed 150 lbs cost $235 - but shipping the exact same item that weighed 420 lbs costs a total of $675.
That may be true - but I dont see how shipping something that weighed 150 lbs cost $235 - but shipping the exact same item that weighed 420 lbs costs a total of $675.
That seems jacked
