Is it possible to just spin the barrel around and reassemble it backwards? I assume the magnetic poles are all grouped to be south on one side of the barrel and north on the other? Just thinking outside of the box :D

Do yourself a huge favor, pull them off, trim the little post on them that acts as the stopper bar and put them back on. The added diameter to the adjuster screws with the extra little bit standing proud makes for some really easy turning compared to trying to get a tiny screw driver in between...
