There's a few guys that ride at Morris in the river. I visit them a couple times each summer. We get a small group together almost every weekend down in Peoria as well. Lots of boat traffic and most encourage tricks. Not much for camping on the river, but there are plenty of cheap hotels.

I would treat them like strap mounting UfO's or motor plates and glue them down with thickened epoxy. Then plan on laying a few pieces of glass over the whole plate. Remember to roughen them up and fill the holes with clay or old greased up bolts first.

Are the rider group sections ever going to get repaired?

It's tall. No need for a thick shock pad. Rear of the hood/tray area looks like a blaster with the seat removed. I would like to see some more pics for sure.

I ordered a pole, bracket, bars, and a few other small items from ATP last year and they only charged me $30 shipping on a pretty heavy box. Said that they subsidize shipping to the U.S. I didn't really understand that, but sure wasn't going to complain. Have no input on the carbs though.

I guess I knew in the design that I was going to have a flat area to make my hood seal easy to build. Good old fashion jigs and hotwire did the trick for me. Not sure if you can somehow create that luxury.

I didn't take a lot of pics of that process, but here's what I have. I actually carried that same seal design over to my current hull because it works so well. Once the hood is latched down, it literally seals up like Rubbermaid container

Here's an idea for you. I glued a low profile foam trim board around a 1/4 piece of hard board cut in the shape of hood opening. Of course you will want to get plenty of "drywall mud" on there to smooth out the contours once you attach it to your plug. Once the plug if finished, you can go...

With that green tint, it looks like it was built with resin designed to glow in the dark. I don't see any lights inside either. ??????
