The battery tray is 3.75"x6.25". This gives a nice tight fit with an ETX9 after the inside is turfed. You could leave it unturfed and possibly fit a larger battery...
There is plenty of room (about 1" or more" between the tank and the PFP) depending on how you set up your hull. If you have the tank about 1" or less away from the front cover, I think it might be able to fit. How much of a size difference is there?
Not a problem, it saves me the cost of shipping a tank back if it doesn't fit in a particular hull. This tank was designed to fit fairly close to the engine, if you have to shift it several inches back into the nose of the ski, the height will definitely become an issue.
This will probably be the only run I am going to do on these. Not making enough money on them to justify continuing production. I might try to sell the design and prints to someone who can make them more economically. If I did another run, I would have to have at least 10 people interested in...
I wanted to, but there aren't really any good places for it! I might be able to on the front of the tank over by the exhaust manifold if there is room.
That dimension would be helpful too, on the Brawler there is about 11.75" from the bottom of the hull to the lip with about an inch of clearance to spare.
There is 12.5 inches between the motor and lip on the Brawler and it is a tight squeeze getting it in and out. If there is less than that it probably won't fit.
Thanks! I don't weld for a living, just something I picked up a few years ago to help make my hobbies a bit cheaper.
I would definitely recommend turfing the bottom of the tank, the inside of the pipe cutout, and anywhere else that might be a close fit. I am also going to be fitting a PFP foam...
