    I usually take a sponge and compress it then let it soak up remaining water and repeat until my bilge area is dry. This open hull, plug drain deal is new to me also.

    Are you using your trim tube or just using it to fill hull up with water? Lol

    Throw it on the stand, fill bottom of engine bay with water see if it finds its way out.

    Even if they don't grab, you could use 4 one on each side so all those sections don't catch on the way through.

    Put a zip tie up each side to help it want to go through, slide . Both thick end down and in those will catch and help pull it through.

    I found even spinning the tube in the direction of the wire spiral helps but still tuff.

    That is probably the part I hate most about working on a ski, the dreaded pole tubes through the bracket and hull. Always a hard time knuckle buster even with soaking them in Windex for me. 2 people is insanely easier.
