From memory, I have a 147.5 main and 77.5 low. 1.5 needle/80g spring.
In the summer humidity I turn my lows and highs in(90 degrees and 90 humidity) In the fall I turn them back out a 1/4-1/2 turn. I ride my ski into winter(Yes November-March), in Wisconsin. My jetting is good from 32 to 95...
You need to get your compression figured out, unless that's from the altitude(4200ft).
I have a very close setup to yours. 2011 SXR, wetpipe, FA, high comp head, lightened flywheel, and the jumper.
You're WAY TO FAT ON THE JETs. I'm at 700ft elevation and I had to jet down two sizes from the...
going from memory, I believe 550s had 130-150psi compression stock?(Reed motors were 175?)... Anything above 120 and cylinders match +-5psi run it.
Leakdown test
if the engine is turning over and has "even" compression, run it. You got it for free? :)
1. Pull Spark Plugs and spray some fogging oil in the cylinders. How hard is it to turn over by hand or starter?
still hard...report back
2. Pull the engine and check how hard it is to turn over, 1 the engine and/or 2 the driveshaft bearing and pump...
still hard...report back
3. Pull the 550...
I live in an apartment complex, and spend time daily in my garage working on projects. I can't make up how many times random folks come up to talk. I get their life story or better yet they ask why I'm always working on my boat....even though three different boats have been in my garage in the...
I see an extension in front of the hitch hauler with another hitch on that...can't tell if this is a 5th wheel trailer or an R/V. That's a long lever!
Class 2 lever: " Load is between effort and fulcrum. This is used as a force multiplier."
I forgot to mention POINT BREAK. I hadn't seen that movie since I was 10. Reminded me of finding all my jet ski friends 11 years ago. Young guys doing young stupid $hit chasing Waves all over the country.
watched it all the way through the for first time in the garage. I put on DVDs and just let them run. DVDs are like Tube tvs, you can find them for FREE these days.
Porpoising comes from a bad rider. Just like death wobbles on a skateboard. Change your stance and ride it out.
The only skis that don't porpoise stock are 2008+ SJs and 2003+ SXRs. It took OEMs 30 years(1973 JS400) to figure that out lol.
Let us know! My comment was just that, I've had good luck with "real" tygon. Even Farm and Fleet carries it by the foot.
No regrets on blocking Sparkplug lol
A stock hood with the liner removed is almost the same weight. Most of the weight saving is in removing the fire extinguisher lol. The stock hoods are SMC.
