If your wondering why its taking me so long, its because of things like this. I'll work on this and come out one day, look at something, and then decide I don't like it so I'll redo it. Today it was swapping out a strap mount, yesterday it was swapping out hose clamps. The good news is I think...
Dusted this thing off a few weeks ago and fabbed up the long exhaust tube. I still need to get that welded, get the turn plate machined, get some turf on the gas tank, drop everything back in, plumb fuel and cooling lines, wire it up, mount the bars and ride plate and then turf it.

Yes remove all paint and any grease/debris. The rougher the surface the better the bond will be. Also, to fill your strip down the middle I would personally use foam and/or filler.

I scratched the side of hood lip on the hull when I was putting the motor in and it almost came to that. Just waiting for spring to finish it up and get back on the water!

When I was looking at the Master they had a Super sitting next to it and I was stuck on which to get. I really like the serrations on the front of the grip that the Super has but ended up going with the Master for the crimson grips and trigger. Nice piece man!
I'm not sure, I remember seeing a video of a boat drop where the gelcoat was barely damaged so maybe theres something special out there.
Heres the vid I think, kinda interesting:

Yep I know, just making sure everyone reading realizes that with the right products their paint shouldn't be cracking from normal flexing. On a side note, flexing isn't always a bad thing..

With the right paint system flexing of our hulls shouldn't be cracking the paint. Look at a bumper cover on any newer car those things can flex like crazy and the paint holds up fine.
I've been slacking but today I installed the php intake manifold with vforce 3's and also did a leakdown test. Next step is dropping in the motor and exhaust.
