Other Galvanic corrosion Stainless steel fastners in cast aluminum

They are zinc plated and if you ran them through a die you might want to replace them if it stripped the zinc off. The zinc acts as the sacrificial anode. If you stripped it off, the bolt will corrode rapidly. Yamaha engine bolts are just chrome plated steel.

I didn't, it's still sitting on my bench.

    Blaster Surf Reinforcement

I've seen much worse hold up much longer in pretty big sets. I wouldn't worry too much.

Blaster Blaster 1 - what's the best plate for aggressive flat water carving?

Scottie, I've had brand new beach house sponsons in the parts bin since the mid 90's. Have you ran these? I assume they would accomplish the same thing as the JAM sponsons, but who knows. I was always happy with my setup, so I never bothered installing them. I have another hull that has them...

Blaster Reeds comparison VF2 vs. M-16

Has anyone ever compared the two HP wise? Trying to decide which to use in a big bore bouy boat and which to use in a big bore surf boat. Anyone have any thoughts on the two setups?

Blaster Is this an OG cast DASA cylinder? I can't remember...

Thanks for the info my friend. Yeah, I was thinking that the middle cylinder bolt looks to be a very tight fit. Don't think my Riva girdled is going to fit in there... Have you ever heard of anyone going big bore on these?

Blaster Is this an OG cast DASA cylinder? I can't remember...

Way back in the day I picked this up. I can't remember where or from who...my memory sucks in my old age. Haha. I was thinking about going big bore with it as I thought it would probably net more go fast than a big bore (89mm) 62T. What do you guys think? Not to mention I don't think I would...

    blaster rear sponsons

Would love to ride your blaster one of these days Masher. I've never ridden one with sponsons, so I can't comment either way. Would be nice to know if I should actually get my sponson'd hull running. :) I think my non-sponson hull hooks up pretty good. Would be pretty cool if it was even...

Anybody running an Ocean Pro steering nozzle?

Pretty sure you meant an Ocean Pro nozzle, don't remember the Protec having the splitter. Anyway, I've bent several OE cables with my OP nozzle. You can use 1/4" copper pipe and some small pieces of hose to hold it to strengthen the cable housing at the nozzle. This works very well. Or you can...

I had surgery last week and the doc replaced my brain with gyro's. He said it's the only way I'm ever going to find a steady relationship. Who knew it would have other advantages!

    B1 steering cable interchange?

Thanks, I have some specs put together I'm running now. I just want to run it for a while and make sure it stands up to my abuse.

    B1 steering cable interchange?

:D More people wanted aluminum than stainless. It doesn't look like I can get them in aluminum. Stainless only. Still working on the minimums and length/pressure specs.
