I am installing footholds soon. Is the bondo fiberglass resin they sell at home depot good, or should I get something else?

Bought an fx1 in California, and it is tuned for sea level. I will have it here in Colorado on Tuesday (even though I can't ride it yet till it warms up!) The lake I ride at is 5,500 ft elevation. Will I need to rejet the carb or will the tuning screws work for such a difference in altitude?

Just bought an fx1 and don't want the rooster tail. Can I simply glass over the hole that the water comes out of, or is that bad? Or do I need to relocate the hose, instead of blocking it off?

When installing, I know to put layers of the dap contact cement on the ski and the back of the turf. As long as the turf and the ski do not touch, how long do I have from after I applied the cement to lay down the turf? If I take my time on the install, will the cement dry up on the ski/turf...

I just bought an fx1 and I am going to install some EME footholds. What size underpad should I get from hydroturf? I have had the 1" thick in my 550 and loved it, but will that interfere with the footholds? I have size 9.5/10 feet.
