This is how my pole spring is sitting. does it just bend into the notch or do I have to bend the spring?

Im buying a 97 waverunner 760 cheap from a guy and was wondering if the motor will fit in my sn sj. How much does it take to put it in also. I looked on here to find motor swap threads but didnt find much. If anyone can point me in the direction of swap threads
