Not sure why it would happen just cause you fell off but an exhaust leak will keep it from winding out (not enough oxygen). I've had exhause gaskets fail and do that to me. I had to open hood halfway to get back to shore.

Not sure I agree with that statement. I've had really good luck with wsm pistons. I'm running them very successfully in my 750 kaw and never had a failure. Granted i'm only running around 160psi.

Ok just in case anyone else has this problem i found the battery positive to the cdi had a small cut in it and had corroded to where the vibrations were causing it's crazy actions.

looks like you have it handled now, but future reference when drilling stainless steel you have to drill slow and keep some cutting fluid on it to keep the bit cool. As with drilling any metals if the bit isn't cutting then its dulling the tip.

So the other day i decided to get the ski going to hit the lake and the the starter button did nothing. So i jumped the solenoid and fired right up and ran fine. So i tore the ebox apart and fixed a bunch of wires that were damaged. So then i hit the button it cranks right over like it should...

For some reason i already thought i signed in for this ride. Well since i haven't i am now. You can count spork in to the cleveland rock & ride from now on assuming i'm still alive. Still riding the ol' pos 750sx ;)

Body shop equipment tech/sales. I work on paintbooths and sell everything for them (filters, bulbs, plc's, burner components and controllers). Waaaaaay underpaid just to scared to change right now :( Also buy/sell/repair just about any toy with an engine. Snowmobiles, skis, quads, and...

I had the same thing happen to me and I did the same thing only I used stainless and tig welded the nuts on it. It did work great except I did take on some water from it not being sealed up enough with one extra layer of glass/resin.
