If you do this mod be sure to use vaseline to lubricate where it meets the steering nozzle because they will stiffen the steering with out it.

I just took a friends ski apart as a favor. One motor mount was broke and the mid shaft pulled out of the housing by hand with all the bearings and seals still attached. This was not a full blown comp ski or surf ski just a recreational Sj..
