NJ requires a safety certificate for all riders. you have to be 16 or older to operate a pwc. NJ also requires a boaters license for inland bodies of water (lakes). just a boaters license isn't good enough in NJ.

i'm more concerned on how the sj has been "beatin" than a sports car. if i could have afforded to buy a new sj and all the mods, i def would have. i bought my sxr new, but i also didn't plan on doing too many mods to it.

if money isn't an issue, buy new and mod it yourself. it's always much better to own it from new and know what goes into it. if you need to save money, buy used.

i didn't think it changed much at first... now i def think it has. SBT is starting to remind me of a mini GP. i still use it for an archive and to help out newbs with couches. plus a few of my customers that bought couches from me lurk there haha.

go for it! put reverse trim on your sj and i'm sure it'll make it a lot easier. just because you don't see a trick being done by joe kenny or another pro doesn't mean you can't do it. take some vid shots of your attempts and post em! :headbang:

my sj came with Riva F/As but i'm getting me a stocker. i was just curious to see how many were running aftermarket.

which tubbies do you guys use? i'm probably gonna get the tubbies 2, but not sure of which- the race or freestyle. anyone try out both?

i think he could be a newb looking up the oem prices on yamaha's online microfiche thing. but that would still be dumb since those are new prices and nobody would pay them anyway. some of the oem prices are rediculous. i remember a new oem blaster hood seal was around $80.
