Why is there like 3 or 4 guys that show up in every aftermarket hull discussion and bash the BOB? Then it seems the same group will talk about the godlike ski that is the superfreak? Then to knock a guy that won on the wrong hull? I think this is more about what ever current hull they are...

My son rides his gen 1 bob all day, chasing cruisers, and using it as a light flickable recreation ski. There are videos of the guys from the ski clinic doing all kinds of tricks on the gen 1.

Basically, The hood is different and it has an actual Yamaha hood latch vs ratchet strap. And the gen 2 has the adjustable footholds.

Yes, I think some were calling them the 1.5's. I also think the later ones had the front and different footholds.

Can you turn the motor over freely without the plugs? By freely you should be able to reach under the coupler cover and spin it with the strenght of a couple of fingers.
