    DASA 850 noise

Perfect! Thanks for the tip on the socket. I will try that tonight. I put the flywheel locker on afterwards but then didnt crank down anymore...figured I would make the post before I screwed something up.

    DASA 850 noise

Before I fudge anything up, I was trying to remove the flywheel and it started to get pretty tight to turn the wrench and then the flywheel would turn with each crank of the wrench; what am I doing wrong if anything here? Just using a cheap flywheel remover? The bolt seemed to be screwing in...

    DASA 850 noise

I didn’t see the washer on the exterior but did find my spring inside the cover. Need to pull the flywheel to see what the backside looks like. I did find some metal shavings in the flywheel cover. Not much; is that normal?

I am going to inspect everything I have and most likely just order all new from you. I was looking at your parts list today.

    DASA 850 noise

Definitely wasn't aware. This is my first TL set up and big motor so all of this is different to me. It makes me cringe to attempt to start the ski when I know that noise is coming. Just feels like I am going to snap something. Is there another way to test this?

    DASA 850 noise

I bought a new ski in March, rode it once in July, and then started making the noise in the video. I suspected the bendix was fried. Finally pulled the flywheel cover off last night (home remodel and two kids 3 and under) and seemed like the bendix was loose/had some play. I didn’t see any...

Dasa 1000cc with Dasa Intake, Speed Plate and VF2 Reeds

When you spoke with DASA, was that email or phone? I cannot get ahold of anyone. Have called and emailed Kyle. **Free Bump - seems like a killer deal!

I need advice on fuel type for DASA motor

It is a billet motor. My guess is its a 850 that a 4mm stroker was added by Kyle at DASA. Original owner is supposed to track down the paperwork and send to me. Cant confirm if its 4mm or not but original owner says it is. I used a compression gauge that I have. Equus brand. Feel free to...

I need advice on fuel type for DASA motor

I think this is whats throwing me for a loop. I cant find anyone with the same set up or a similar set up so who tf knows whats actually there. I think I may just get a pail of 110, mix a couple gallons with 93 and go from there.

I need advice on fuel type for DASA motor

So I could get by mixing 93 no ethanol pump with say 110 and be ok or would you suggest a different method? I talked to the original owner of the motor said he was told by Kyle at DASA that "with the stroke the compression ratio is too high and needs 110 regardless". He said he initially saw...

I need advice on fuel type for DASA motor

I just found out my local booze store sells race gas 98 through 118 octane. Could I take the 118 and mix it with 93 and be good? It was about $100 for 5 gallons of sunoco 118

I need advice on fuel type for DASA motor

When you talked with Kyle, was this over the phone or by email? It's only been a day but I haven't heard back from either Kyle or Kevin. I'm not expecting an instant response, but curious the best way to contact them.

I need advice on fuel type for DASA motor

I have a superjet that I will use for ripping around and holding wide open. I will probably chase a few boats with this ski but nothing crazy. The boat traffic is pretty high so I don't have to chase too many as another one is usually shortly behind

I need advice on fuel type for DASA motor

Ha! Yeah thats me (Jeff) and my brother Tommy on the red ski. When did you live at Lotawana? I knew LS Airport sold some sort of higher octane fuel. I will have to ask one of my buddies who flies out of there how he transports fuel from there back to his shop.

I need advice on fuel type for DASA motor

I sent Kevin an email this morning. I will see if he responds in a few days then email Kyle. This has a MSD TL system with a laydown pipe. 148mm set back pump - unsure on prop (got two different answers), no idea on timing.
