is it a new cable? The direction you install it matters. I cant tell from the pics. Turn the steering all the way to the left and then the right and then adjust the steering cable ends to make them even. You also have to stop on the steering stop or the cable will break.

did you check if the nozzle will turn the same amount left and right? If not you need to adjust the fittings on the cables. Or add an extension depending on the trim/nozzle.

Book says to install cases with sealant. Pretty sure it says dry for the gaskets.

List the hull up for sale on craigslist. I have bought a couple empty hulls for 100$.
