with some mastic tape and bagging film... anythings easy to pull a vac on
Im a noob to composites but so far this hasn't been difficult with a little thought process and plan of attack!
Its actually been fun, I walk around the shop thinking of things to make lol
Im working on doing some carbon...
Just shoot me a pm when you think you know about how much you need, It will be cheap
and like I said its right from an aerospace company so its not cheap by any means
The material is a biaxial carbon, -45/45 deg.
I did a carbon ride plate for my 750sxi as one of my first projects, I layed up 4...
I have just started learning composite's and its turning out to be fun... and itchy...
I can supply you with some biaxial carbon fiber .024" thick if you like
Its left over from a local aerospace company and am told its as strong as ill ever want/need
Like stated above, I went by a glass shop...
Exactly!
I have been trying to find some info on intake track mods but havnt really found much, I know you want it bigger but how much wider than the circumference of the pump should it be... I was looking at the bun hull pics to get an idea but its hard just looking at a pic
So far I can avg...
When i purchased ski, it already had tubbies, look at the side view pic and you can see them.
I want to see how wide I can get the tray, and am also thinking about the adjustable BOB footholds and have a little more shape
to the gunwells like a SXR
Im researching pumps and am trying to decide...
not sure, it has aluminum plates that whitca had done for a yamaha setup.
I have a Dasa 865 coming for it.
Seems like most A/M hulls are setup for yamaha so ill just stick with that b/c im sure i will be going with one in the future
and keep this as a second ski with a stock BB
I will edit this post part by part that i replace with carbon and give the weight difference.
1) steering cable bracket= TBA
2) ride plate=TBA
3) yamaha engine adapter plates= TBA
Purchased a 750sxi from whitca awhile back and decided this winter i would turn it into a project to get some experience working with composites as I plan on doing a complete carbon hull in the future if i decide I want to tackle it. Anyways on to the build.
Started with whitca's boat and since...
I have a 750sxi I purchased from whitca and have since done alot more changes to it.
In the end I want this to be my surf boat as I want to purchase a A/M flatwater hull in future.
for know I will be installing a dasa 865ss dual 44bj's and TL (yamaha motor)
Im wondering how can i get the power...
Im new so i have not done much PWC tuning but i know we use these in the motorcycle Ind. alot.
its waterproof and cheap, also keeps track of time on motor.
will these work or not and why?
also how do you tune using a tach...
looking to get a carbon hood for a 750sxi
What are my options and also wanted to post something in case someone on here was capable of doing one.
so far i have found a 3dr from mac racing at a fair price
