Well, since I own one I can tell you that Backie Chan's are built to Flip and Carve... as much as a short ski can carve. They have a SXR based bottom deck. So you get a LOT of hook on turns compared to other FW hulls. The problem is you can't currently get anything other than Glass if you buy...

Definitely Hull My JM781 was "mild" in my RNSJ. But its a little freakin beast in my Carbon Kevlar Chan. FWIW I weighed my Chan when I got it, Xmetal Pole, Turf, Pump Shoe, Hood, ~85lbs

The good news is that there are quite a few skis for sale right now that check off what you want. The bad news is that you haven't been on any of them. I've owned and driven A LOT of cars in my life, and I wouldn't buy a car for 20k without driving it first and skis have even more variation...
