    951 Swap X2

I wasn’t trying to be rude.. You could race it in Sport GP. You’ll probably want to bring swim trunks and spare pistons. But it will be a good time. [emoji1303]

    951 Swap X2

Nice work on this. I raced with these engines for many years when they came out in 1998. Built a ton of race engines and quit counting the number of thousand dollar bills. As others have said water intake is going to be a big problem and with the mods to the exhaust you won’t get anywhere near...

    Sx-r 260

Back in 04-05 ish, Riva had a vortec supercharger kit for the 15F. It was much smaller than the newer kawasaki SCs. Might be worth a search as it would likely be easier to install due to size. I do remember those being problematic for the race skis blowing belts though. But they were fast for...

    Sx-r 260

Dump that engine if you can. They were not great to begin with. There were lots of changes for the 300/310 engine to improve reliability. The 300 supercharger is much larger and heavier though so this would be a big challenge for a standup hull build. Also do not put that back together without...

SXR Building the best SX-R race engine! Why not DASA?

Also note the manifold to cylinder gaskets, need to be custom cut to allow proper flow. I may still have a few sets. The Factory dry pipe manifold does not match perfectly to the cylinder. Also I had to back the compression way down to eliminate the mid range hit with dry pipe. It was almost...

SXR Building the best SX-R race engine! Why not DASA?

I have a water routing diagram I’ll dig out. I published this to Dasa, 10 years ago and they started adding the side ports which are needed to keep hot spots from forming. Basically its a dual line cooling setup off the pump. (1) line for exhaust cooling and (1) for engine cooling. What...

SXR Building the best SX-R race engine! Why not DASA?

Hi guys Hard to believe this post is 10 years old. Now I feel old. Ha! Amazingly I still have this ski. (Monster Dasa 900 SXR). Its the fastest SX-R I have ridden, (mid 60s) So I kept it mint and only ride occasionally. Parts are now very rare for this engine so I don’t want to grenade it.. .

Interesting build,, you may want to check weight and balance. The SC is heavy and it may lean way too much in a ski. Even the heavy ultra hull will list to the SC side when floating. May need to add weight to balance it out. Good luck on build. [emoji1303]

Finally scored a Factory Pipe for my 750sx. Will need help jetting

Man don’t make it a freestyle ski.. Its a race hull. So many other choices for freestyle these days. Make it a super clean limited 750. It will hold value well. These are becoming rare to find parts for.

    Positive Tool Experiences

Most of the female coupler ends have a screw tip you can loosen and tighten to adjust fit on the zerk. Try adjusting the tip. Lock-n-lubes work well too if you have space.
