    Bearing puller/separator recommendations

Hey folks, I’m tired of struggling to remove crank bearings with the wrong size/type separator. Anyone have a reasonably priced recommendation for one that can pull the front and rear bearing? TIA -Jordan

    Crank keyway offset degrees

Does anyone happen to know how many degrees the crank keyway is offset from cylinder 1 TDC? I designed a crank and this is the last thing I need to add. Idk why genius Yamaha didn’t just line it up with…. Anything. Figured I’d ask before I go figure out how to measure this…

XFR water in tray. Will foam drain

Just built an XFR as a surf/rec ski. I believe the trays are foamed and I’m confident mine is getting water in the tray. Trying to seal it will be a losing battle. Anyone know what type of foam they use and wether or not it will drain if I add a drain? TIA -Jordan

Strange issue - black transfers only on front cylinder

Hey all, I'm still going through everything trying to find the cause here but curious if anyone has ever seen this. Ski has been running kinda crappy. feels like it loads up. If i keep it cleared out it makes decent power. Pulled head and all transfer ports on front cylinder are almost...

Looking for a reasonably priced set of flower booster Novis or full spec 48/49s. Reasonable price is important. This is for my 3rd big-ish motor ski so have to make sure wife doesn't divorce me. Ok with carbs that need some work. -Jordan

    Ideas for ski testing tank

Hey, I live kinda far from our riding spot and testing this ignition I’m developing is getting annoying. I need a water tank at my house so I can load the motor and test easily. I’m looking for ideas on things I can repurpose as a test tank? Scouring marketplace hasn’t had great results yet...

has anyone taken apart a shifty module? curious what relay is in there

Hey All, The shifty module (commonly used on MSD TL for start/stop functionality) is a latching relay. I'm using a TE bipolar latching relay in my new ignition but i was just curious to compare with whats in the shifty module. I feel like some people have taken them apart. Just curious if...

Need your input on new ignition "brain" design

Some of you may know I've been working on a new ignition for our sport. It's really a car ECU (based on Speeduino) which i've trimmed down to mainly just whats needed for ignition control. I have a couple open design questions and would love your feedback Connectivity I can either have wires...

Can you buy individual crank components like pins, tapered shaft, etc.

I'm sure I'll never do this, but i was thinking about cranks and how the webs aren't really that difficult to machine (just bought a new CNC mill so I've been thinking about a lot of this stuff). Does anyone know if you can buy the pins that go between webs and the input/output shafts. the...

Reverse engineer people's setups if you aren't tone deaf....

So, IDK if this actually makes mathematical sense, but it seems to check out... If you listen to a recent video of my ski, you'll hear the motor is running at an "A" pitch for most of the time on the setup wake. An A2 is 110Hz. There are 60rpm in 1 Hz. 60x110=6600RPM. So, My motor is...

    Powerfactor Pipe O-Ring sizes

Anyone have the sizes for the 3 O-Rings handy (newest gen PFP)? I'm happy to support our vendors for almost everything, but I prefer to buy things like this in bulk from mcmaster/etc.

Will heat from resin damage finish....

Hey All, I'm about to start the build of my new Rickter XFS G2. My first step is to build a bottom protector plate thingy. Ya know, a fiberglass plate that i turf and bring with me everywhere that goes between the ski and my stand or trailer bunks to keep the bottom in perfect condition. To...

Smart Coils, Speeduino, Hall Effect, etc. - New ignition control ideas

Hey All, I've become mildly obsessed with ignition control recently... I've always hated MSD TL as its antiquated and unreliable. Zeel is fantastic and I've used it on all my setups so far. Every back-to-back test so far has shown almost no performance difference but recent testing on my TPE...

LS10 xs trim modification for easier pull

So I love my LS10 trim but it’s considerably harder to pull vs raptor. I moved the cable mount point on the lever arm and switched to odyssey lever with more throw and it’s now incredibly easy to pull and I can still get full trim throw. I’m talking 1 finger while on the throttle. Also now has...

Nozzle bore vs impeller pitch change

Hey all, I’ve recently been playing with nozzle size inserts and have had varying results. I’m curious if anyone can provide a semi-scientific explanation on what should be expected when going to bigger/smaller nozzle sizes vs pitching down/up? A smaller nozzle size has a similar “tightening”...

Micrometer reading on front crank bearing

Anyone have a mic reading on the front of a 701 crank handy? I have a crank where the front bearing could slide off with light pressure. I’m trying to figure out if the crank needs to be welded and resurfaced or if the bearing is damaged/oversized. Thanks!

Zeel Static Angle Change and Findings - PCDIS-02T/A02T

Hey All, I've been doing some testing on static angle changes and wanted to share my findings. The hypothetical concern after discussions with various people is that with a 56 degree static angle, there is a good bit of crank rotation between the trigger and ignition event during which time...

    alternative to thrust finger throttle?

Seems like the thrust finger throttle is out of stock since forever ago. Anyone know if they are coming back in stock soon? What are people buying instead? I hate normal throttle levers - always tend to dig into my middle finger. Thanks! -Jordan
