I have a 88 550 that has a mikuni 44mm carb. The ski wont start cuz it is getting floded with way to much gas. And its like a volcano shooting out of the carb from the butterflie. What the hell is the deal.??
ok well i dont have a kawi tool so what if i took a screw driver or something else to hold the impeller and could i twist the two flat spots thats inside the cone? would that work
ihave it fullly takin apart and the motor is cleaner then ever i mean its clean! the head has no corrosion on it. but yeah the walls look great im gonna hone it anyways thanks for the info
im trying to take my impeller out of my 650sx so i can clean it up cuz its preety ruff around the edges and we did this to my bro sj and he has more power now. i have the whole housing sitting in my lap right now but the impeller is still in there and i dont know how to get it out need so help
so my 650sx makes 105 psi on a compression test has no balls when its on the water. i pulled my my cylinder off and and the piston, cylinder walls and rings look fine. so i was thinking if i put new bore pistons and rings would that help? or maybe even just put new rings?:pancake::pancake:
i gave my 550 to my girl and im gonna clean the carb out and see what good that will do. i have heard though that its best not to keep the old carb so maybe changing out would be good to do
i dont know really what help i can give you but i had a 550 and it did the exact same thing! litttle fuel would come out of the carb thru the butterflies and out of water was fine until you droped it in i dont know why but i guess its common if yours is doin it to
check if u have the cables with the neg with the neg and pos with the pos this happened to my old 550 and it just was clicking. or diconnect the the starter terminals and reconnect it might not have a good connection
