I run these on a stock 701 with a WDK pipe and they are excellent. The 46's work so well on such a broad range of engines and the FS carbs are a staircase above Mikuni 46's. GLWS and have a great day.

If they are close to each other could you use a piece of 1/16" plate formed for curvature? That would be aesthetically pleasing with a nice heli arc bead while adding full coverage and rigidity.
