I used paint stripper from home depot. It took the paint right off. Then I used steel wool to clean it up. I didnt polish it alot just left it with a steel wool finish. Looks good and I clean it with steel wool every other ride.
I would not buy it. I bought a very similar jet ski last year for 3000 with a bunch of good parts, ad looked exactly like that one. The seller said it had a little bog and it just needed to be jetted right for the B pipe. I'm mechanical so I didn't care. But there ended up being so many things...
Thanks for all the replies.
The coil is definately brand new OEM as well as the head. So I don't think its that I may try to killswitch thing mentioned above but I have kind of already messed with it I dont think that's it. And my fuel/fuel lines are good I already have a primer kit and...
It looked normal, I'm not too sure exactly what its supposed to look like but i just had it off two days ago and emptied all the water out of it and cleaned it. There's a bit of a bend in my exhaust tube that makes the tube crush a little bit but it should still be flowing plenty of exhaust...
I got a superjet back in May 2013 and to cut a long story short I still cannot get it to work. Its a "2001" 61T mainly stock with the exception of a B-Pipe, TDR Waterbox, Lightenened flywheel, and flame arrestors.
It has started up perfectly out of water since day 1, but once I put it in water...

Every single moment I look at my superjet I get frustrated. I've spent hundreds of dollars and tons of time and still cannot get the :-):-):-):-)ing thing to start good in water. I've almost put it up for sale every other week.
I never really thought about it much until it happened.
What do you do when your jet ski dies in the ocean?
My SN wouldnt start and I had no clue what to do. My friend tried to push me in but that didn't work to good. I ended up trying to hold on but the first wave pushed me away from it...
I want to get my stock superjet head sandblasted because the stock paint looks bad and is really dirty. My question is will the head end up corroding? (I ride in salt and fresh water)
What if I just paint stripped engine parts? Would sandblasting keep it more protected? I was also thinking...
