Thanks. common sense is what's gotten me this far in life so i think i'm good with that...what about safety items for the ski and me. do i need a lanyard kill switch, can anyone recommend a good helmet?

I'm in So Cal about 40 miles from the ocean and a few lakes surrounding me. I had 3 skiis on a trailer, 750sx, 650sx, and this 550sx. I liked this one the most so i've hung onto to it...It's a 93 with some bolt on mods. I can hardly wait to get it back on the water.

I have a 550 with mods but have never been in the surf. Would it be a bad idea to make my first surf ride that weekend? Or should i just go out to oceanside and get some surf time in?

My 93 550sx...it's a sleeper! I had a 750, 650, and this one. This was my favorite so i never got rid of it.
