Curious if anyone has used these before to fix their stripped manifold threads instead of a helicoil or time-sert? I have had these threads repaired with time-serts in the past from a local shop who has the tools to do the install. Recently I had a manifold that had been drilled out one too...

+1 on bronze. Size the bushings to OEM but use some of those self lubricated bronze bushings from the good fellas over at McMaster Carr http://www.mcmaster.com/#standard-sleeve-bearings/=ramjqh
