Around this time last year we made a few fixed steer hoods for these rockered sj's. We had some raider hoods and extra glass/resin laying around as well as two square hoods. My pole at the time was too long and I wanted to be able to get up over the bars better. We both ran the hoods for a...
We both went away from the holds and are all about the foot strap life. A wise man once told me real men ride with straps and I now understand why.
Neither skis are for sale but everything I own is for sale if the price is right. Mine is the blue and white by the way. Thanks for the...
Nice post great idea (great minds must think alike!). I am working on a similar project. I will be using a 3d scanner to get the general e box profile and then modifying with an o ring seal amongst some other features before printing on fortus out of a polycarbonate of some sort or a nylon...

Nothing crazy on the hoods just chopped the top half off and used some corrugated sign material, duck tape, and candle wax to lay glass over from the inside. Trickiest part was cutting out the stock liner....that was a bitch. We made our own liner from a few layers of glass and glassed that in...
Just about one year ago to date my buddy and I took our square nose superjets to pismo to ride surf for the first time. After only owning our skis for a couple of weeks I spent the majority of the weekend wrenching but for the short time spent in the waves got the bug. Without even riding surf...
+1 on bronze. Size the bushings to OEM but use some of those self lubricated bronze bushings from the good fellas over at McMaster Carr http://www.mcmaster.com/#standard-sleeve-bearings/=ramjqh
Nice build. Have you been able to do a side by side with any other blasters? Curious how the 1200 compares with the Kawi 1100's....or if it just destroys them
