Is that 140 pump a good upgrade? Did you run it with a 550 pump before or just the 750 pump? I have a 701 in my js550 with a 19* prop it runs great but I have debated the 750 pump swap.

My 1985 dumps all the water into the water box and out the big hose on the left. I assume yours is the same if its stock. I think all 550s were that way until 1986 when they changed to the jet power exhaust and right side exhaust, I think they added a pisser on those, at least my 88 had one...

I don't remember what stock is. The kit has instructions with size recommendations. They recommend ytx14ah. Fits good. Original battery straps hold it well.

I also had to swap the coil from my superjet since it had wires for a wetjet sit down. The regular superjet wires were too short.

I ordered a straight 19 skat trak from impros, just waiting on that to arrive before I tear into the ski. I expect it this week sometime. I'm thinking I will have to get new turf due to increased power. I'm also brainstorming ideas for a rear exhaust conversion, but I like my paint as is.
