Been to Orange Beach several times riding. I have also partied in PC numerous times. It does have its times. But for a six hour trip and inconsistant surf and salt water cleanup; I would rather drive 45 minutes to Lanier for guaranteed 3ft waves. But for a good party on the 4th I would hit up PC.

Have you been to Lanier? I don't know about this year but usually there are better waves than the gulf plus its fresh water. If you are going to make a 6 hour drive I would spend the extra hour or two and go to Daytona or Ponce Inlet. That is if you are really wanting to ride surf. But if you...

I burn about 8-12 gal. when I go to Lanier chasing boats. When I go to my other riding spot about 5-8. I have a big bore with 44s. I might have to cut back a little this year. AV Gas is around $6/gal so it makes riding a little pricey.

I just bought some at Lowes. I think they were either #12 or #14. You can use 3/4 or 1 inch long either one will work fine.
