I did this last year at wavedaze. if you over tighten your clamps it could ever so slightly dent the bar and make a weak point. if your bars are breaking flush with the clamp every time I would say its from over tightening (I didn't read the whole thread, maybe someone already suggested this)

also check for spark, sounds like it could be running on one cyl? out of the water does it run good?

pictures would be good... did he lay new carbon on the bottom or just add expoxy? if its just epoxy you might just have to sand it, and maybe add a layer of carbon to make er' look pretty again.

Im sure all the grates are great (swapmeet will like that..). the thing that I liked about the atp that no other grate had was the fact that its billet. it will last forever, no chipping on rocks, etc.

I used to have a 201. I had a big chunk taken out of it, so I replaced it with a atp adjustable. it loads the pump up like crazy, I run it with the solas mag. I dont need to worry about it cracking on a rock anymore either, being made of billet. if you want more info or pics pm me. highly...
