Yeah no kidding!!! I may run a pick in my thumb once in a while but at least the ring is still a ring once it’s off! Might as well have just ripped it off with a pliers, lol.what did you do to that poor snap ring?.....dude get some real tools

I have made a tapered cone shaped “ramp” that allows me to slide the clip over the end of the bendix without distorting it’s shape and they stay on well. I have repaired at least a dozen in the last couple years and haven’t had any issues coming apart. Running 3 high compression freestyle engines almost daily here requires lots of bendix maintenance. Knocking the ears off the weight spacer is an ongoing battle with 235 psiYou can buy that damn C clip ring in a OEM part nr, im well aware taht you said you bought them, but came in wrong size @iQRTurbo
I have bought them a few times. My biggest problem is, when you get them new, they still needs to be "pressed" and i havent found the correct way to press them like new, so the nose on the bendix will pop out over the clip.
I have been able to resolve my past bendix issues by simply soaking them in ATF for a few days (when not damaged/broken/missing parts).
