Octane 03 Octane ( With NOVI 48MM Carbs & VForce Reeds )

If you haven't done this with your stock Octane I would suggest it!! These carbs are amazing and really hit hard with combination of Vforce reeds... Any one else out there running Novi's? Just wanted to share and see your thoughts..

Agreed, I am currently running Novi 44's with V-force 3's on my Octane. Great setup. I had Novi 46's on there previously, but I sold them.

Are those hotseat manifolds or Polaris racing? My Polaris racing have dual mount tabs for linkage mounted carbs.. Those intakes look minty fresh nice score!

I used first generation 46 Novis with v-force IIs on my 777. Now using 48 second generation Novis on my 950 Polaris. Awesome improvement over those kheins... Now add Total Loss and hold on!

Speedysprocket..That 950 sound like fun! My heads are custom set up for Polaris from power factor products...! Nice application with no trouble bolting up and Novi's sit on there very nicely. I was gonna do a total loss but I like to do mostly flat freshwater freestyle and some Rec riding on the chain of lakes near us. Tons of Wake-board boats around so waves are not hard to find, not like salt water by no means..
To my understanding the total loss, doesn't charge battery therefor possibly could die out in the middle of lake.. is this true? Also is your 950 a DASA motor, as my step for 2015 season is to go to a different hull with same motor or simply place bigger motor in this hull!! As you know it how much $$$$$$$$ you have...

It's a nikasil cylinder cast by The Crank Shop in Vermont. It's part of their Polaris 800 snowmobile big bore kit. And it's topped off with the Power Factor head.
TL has never left me stranded from a dead battery. With a decent battery, I believe you could ride an entire weekend, at least 4 tanks of fuel, without charging. I use a lithium battery, though, and am paranoid about damaging it, so if I can, I'll charge it every tank. But if I can't, no big deal, just keep riding.

Nice thanks for info.. I may considered the TL then I know there is allot of recommendations of this system.. As you must have saw a big difference in your set up? I just can't believe it, would hit that much harder, but hey air, fuel and spark is the name of the game. I agree with keeping charged up this wouldn't be a problem. I just thought maybe after a 1/2 tank it would drain battery, but that is good to hear this is not the case..

Carbs cleaned up response and made mid and top end even better and smoother, but TL really picked up the slack on the bottom end and really completed the package. I didn't expect the results I got, and I already had a lighter flywheel and Watcon curve CDI when I made the TL switch.
And I found my setup used on ebay, for like $500 complete, which made it hard to pass up...! Run time is not an issue though. I ride surf, to include 1 or 2 bilge pumps running when the engine was in my Octane, and never a battery life issue.

Awesome! I see one your thread of building the 950 you added another pulse line from a spacer. This is what I think I am running into is a single pulse line that I have T'ed to each carb. Think I am not getting all the vacuum, I can so loosing a little on bottom end. But just a thought... Looks like you have done alot of work in the past on the octane aswell. After all good things come with time...
