08-10 Superjet pump nozzle

Why do 08 and up Superjets have a trim ring and a nozzle fixed in position? Does the nozzle point up a few degrees?
I would like to use a 61X set-up (fixed, straight) or would that cause handling problems.

They point up a few degrees you can just egg out the bracket to get it to lay flat.

I think the raider nozzle provides better performance over the 61x nozzle.
