08 SJ handpole question

The 08 pole is -2 from the previous SJ. The 08 runs the FX1 top alum bracket. I would get a pre 08 pole and cut it down. Then you have to change to the pre 08 steering cable also. Should give you a little more throw.
The 08 pole is identical apart from the cast alloy top end, thats where the difference in length comes from as LBE said.
If you are serious about any kind of decent throw from your steering, replace the top cast section, or buy a pre 08 pole. I have an 08 pole and an 08 steering cable on my junk SN (just to make the steering work) and I find it hard to even do nose stabs! Every now and then I can land a roll, but you need a lot of rider input. Steeering throw is your friend...for real!
