08 superjet won’t self bail water

When the ski fills up with water the only way to get it out is with bilge or flipping it over on land and I want the self bail to work. I can drive it a full speed for 5 minutes and when I check all the water will still be in there. Couldn’t find any threads on this?

Assuming it wasn't removed with bilge installation....

The water collection tray is at the rear of the engine compartment below the shaft. Might need to remove the shaft cover to see it. The hose connects there and should exit the port side rear of engine compartment. Some people remove the stock siphon when they install a bilge. You will have to see

Ok thanks bro I’ll check it out

in addition fyi.....a hose that is attached to the outlet next to where the pump hosing bolts to the hull....and the other end of that hose attaches to a barb on the outside of the narrowing pump nozzle......the force of the water through the pump nozzle creates a strong suction so any water in the hull just gets sucked out if these parts are all still in place.

be sure the hose is coming up before it goes back down to the thru hull fitting that runs to the pump. There should be a 90 degree fitting at the highest point.

everything is all there and connected properly, water compartment tray, up to a 90 deg fitting then back down to port side exit. Pulled it off checked the lines and the 90 deg fitting, all clear. I stuck a ziptie through the nipple that exits out the port side and didn't feel anything blocking there either. Why is it not bailing water itself then? I can do a sub, fill up the hull with water and drive around full speed for 3-4 minutes and its still full.

If the hose is hooked to reduction nozzel like mentioned above, double check that the SS tube is also protruding out into the exiting water stream, if it's been cut off it won't siphon. Also could leak check the thru hull tube, if rotted out may not pull water

Blow through the passage ways of the bilge system (can attach a hose to the inlet on the inside of the pump and blow through and listen for air coming into engine bay, make sure to remove before ridding again. If no air remove hoses in segments to fine out what is clear and what is clogged) but also have you ran the ski on a beach stand or trailer in the water and are sure there is no leak in any of your cooling hoses? The bilge could be working fine but maybe a leak inside that you aren't noticing that would cause the water to stay at the same level or higher if the leak is faster than what the bilge can empty? Probably just debris in the cooling lines somewhere but worth the check that no leaks in the hull (any cracks or holes or fittings not plugged or even midshaft seal) and also that the motor is not leaking water from cooling hoses. Good luck

check to make sure the plastic fitting is not cracked. if it is, it loosing suction.
