Very rare -1973 WSAB Kawasaki Jet Ski. One of the first built with a hand laid fiberglass hull made in Japan before they were mass produced in 1976 at the plant in Lincoln, NE USA. This unit was carefully refurbished by a professional to become a collectors or a museum piece. The engine was assembled very carefully to duplicate an original 73 with the exception of a couple missing pieces as shown in the photos. I am not listing this as a completely finished product due to the fact that there is only half a crankshaft in the cases to hold the p.t.o. coupler in place. The cylinder and cases have been bored and ported for performance reasons by the first owner. The original crank and pistons were not installed as well as the flywheel is not in the front cases due to the missing crankshaft so that the unit could not be started and would be able to remain in clean condition. Other than these few missing pieces the unit is in unbelievably great condition….right down to the original decals on the hull. One of 500 first original units produced and one of the 200 very rare WSAB models with the v- style hull. The WSAA model is what Kawasaki based all other mass produced models on because of the general ease of the ride compared to the more aggressive racing style hull of the WSAB. The pictures speak for themselves of what a remarkable piece of Jet Ski history this rare find really is. This unit was also featured in the 2009 March/April edition of A.W.A. Ride magazine.

In the older thread Superjett-113 said it was new in crate. If this is the same one why does it say the first owner had the cases bored and ported. And why would anyone try to build a performance engine out of this thing? I wouln't give $500 for this turd!! But it could be yours with only 1/2 the engine missing.

one mans junk is another mans treasure. If you dont see the value in a first run hand laid hull then move on. somebody will want it. and I am sure other people will find a higher value on it. those people have crazy money and wont think anything of 10k. that being said, I would not take it for free. but only because I have no use for it. some people live life and some watch from the sidelines.

I tend to agree :) It's not a 10K collector's item.

Depends on who wants it.

Clayton Jacobson might purchase it if he does not have one of the originals still. Who knows what he might be willing to pay for it. Or the Rich Russian guy with the EME who is buying the NY Nets< He has the money and that is pocket change.

A first edition Michael Jordon Rookie card might sell for $75,000 but the value of the paper it is printed on and the cost to print it may only be about $.10 total. The value is placed upon something based on what somebody might be willing to pay for it.
