1100 Blaster Build

Whats up guys,
I've been looking for a Blaster hull for awhile to do this swap with. Finally found one and figured I'd document my progress. Im 16 and bought my first ski about 5 years ago which was this raider 1100. This summer I started getting into standups and "more fun" jet skis. lol. So I figured why not do this swap? Fun project and in the end ill have an arm ripping jet ski.

Anyways, heres what I've got to work with...

And heres my progress so far...
Pulled the motor out of the raider. Going to clean/rebuild the carbs and shine it up a little before I drop it in the blaster. I ended up getting the ADA racing conversion plates.

Then started the dreaded "de-foam" process. Everyone was right when they said this is the worst part of this build. Took me a long time, but I got it done. Used a paddle bit, assortment of knives and saws, and a lot of just prying and pulling pieces off with my hands.

Tomorrow Im going to get the waterbox and exhaust routing all worked out. Will update with pics tomorrow.

Appreciate all the comments,
Kyle

Didn't get as much done yesterday or today as I hoped. But I got one little thing done. I used the stock raider exhaust outlet instead of making a rear exit. Turned out pretty nice. Doing this really simplified things for me.

Also cut a block off plate for the stock blaster exhaust exit.

I want to get the exhaust plumbed before I put the motor in. Does anyone know where I can get piping for it without ordering online?

Finished it awhile ago. Here's some pics. Still gotta clean up some wire routing, route the fuel lines better, get two fuel filters (one on each pickup) and a couple other odds and ends. Also gotta do something with those purple bars...

setup looks real good

looks like you get a good amount of water on motor. Might wanna make sure theres no leaks spraying all over motor

Id be real careful with those vortex intakes set up the way you have....

Kiss your motor goodbye if any of the studs come loose....

Seen it happen right before my eyes.

Nothing compares to the sound of a motor chewing up some stainless!
