1105 tpe with 148 pump

Fitting a 1105 tpe into 2014 xfs, currently have a 148 mag pump in there. Is there going to be a big difference if I fit a 155 pump? The reason I ask is because the extra cost and work to fit it is it going to be a big difference.

A 155 will be the better choice, but a 148 will also work. Depends if you want 100% out of the motor or not. There are some awesome 10 vane large hub budget 155 mags out there that are all aluminium on the cheap which might help offset the cost if cost is your hurdle. Hit up @Sasquachcrap for details

Yes there is a difference. You are at the limits of a 148 pump with the 1105. I had to move up to a 155 to get all the power to the water. As long as you keep your build mild a 148 mag will be just fine.

I agree a 155 mag is better, but a148 mag is the next best choice, set up right I would estimate a 10-15% improvement
