12 Vane Mag Pump in Gen 1 X2?

Anyone ever put in a 148mm 12 vane Mag in an X2? I am putting in a beefed up yamaha 701 and was thinking of going big on the pump too?

You definitely need to mod the intake of the ski. Very poor design wouldn't let you feed the pump. Post on PWCtoday. You'll find a lot more Kawasaki guys there.

I am working on a way to bolt in a 148 OEM Kawasaki pump. With no glass mods. Yes the intake design is small. However I have ridden a 1100 x2 with a 148 kawi pump. It scooted.
The intake is a bottle neck but the small pump really is the biggest issue .

Could bolt a 148 yamaha mag in there with the right parts and a little know how. I've done it once.

What all did you need parts wise for 148 yamaha?

148 shoe, couch driveshaft, gp760 midshaft spacer, couch midshaft/housing, rhaas 4 bolt to 3 bolt midshaft adapter.

Front 2 bolts of the yamaha pump line right up with the kawa. bolt location. You have to add rear bolt holes.

Ya I think that's what I'll do. Need the upgraded pump to take advantage of the 701
