1200gp pumptunnel to sj

Has anyone attempt to instal gp1200 aluminium pump tunnel to rn superjet? Its about same widht but it's 2.5" longer.. Then could use gp intake grate which is wider than superjet's idea is to get gp's pump to my rn sj and just wondering if it could be done with the tunnel.. I see people make the pump tunnel wider to get more water in.. How about longer? Any ideas and pictures are more than welcome:)

Just my .02 here. Save the money and get a 148 mag. Do it once and be done with it. I've done a lot of glassing, shaping etc and it's just not worth the grief to me. And your hull is committed to that pump size in the end, which may be a bummer. By the time you figure in your hours and glassing materials, you would have been able to pay for a couple of mag pumps. And no matter how you tune that stock 155 pump, it will never be what the 148 is as far as performance goes.

I'm not trying to be mean at all, just trying to save you time, money and heartache in the long run.

Here's a link on a very well set up 148.

I'm running a 144 mag with a 14/19 hooker behind my 964. I'm also at 5,000' elevation which takes away some power. But there are a few 964's running 144 mags successfully. But the 148 is preferred. Hope this helps.

Thank you for being honest:) yeas i know its tons of work.. but i kinda like that side of this lifestyle hobby too:) it's juts that i have just bought tpe and pfp so money is gone for now and i start this school that wil last for next 9 months and i barely get any money in that period.. so i thought that if i build bigger pump tunnel and use this 155mm for now and maybe next winter i buy that 148torrent..or is it bad to have bigger pump tunnel and 148?? Rickter xsf has pump tunnel big enough to ride it with if i remember right 160mm pump but it stil works with oem 144 or solas stator but now i have a 140mm setback magnum and according to Erik @ tpe it wont work well.. have to say one thing about erik.. i like hes style he told me that he keep's hes eyes open for propper low price magnum for me.. he like to keep hes customers happy.. if i get my pump sold ill get that torrent sooner

Best of luck with it all and I'm stoked you scored a 964! It took me years to get my ski where it is now. Every year it gets built up a little more haha! I would think your tunnel could be refitted to fit the 148 later. A little filling, shaping and glassing maybe, but I'm not sure. But also can't see why it couldn't be done. Although I understand your want and need to get it on the water too.

Same here been building my ski few years now. little by little these parts are definitely not cheap.. i decided not to use 155 pump or wider my pump tunnel.. not because it is lot of work tho.. i thought that if i buy 148magnum pump tunnel is enough for it as it is now.. so no need to do that. And erik sayd that it can work to a point 140pump i mean. If i want to use bigger pump some day i will buy am hull at the same time.. i think my -4 rocker superjet is good but not good as rickter etc.. but more power first then maybe some day hull
