Does that Solas come with bearings?

I agree, OEM 155. Contract TC Freeride or Speedysprocket they both have done alot of testing with the OEM 155 for prop pitch.

I have a stator I will be selling. Large hub 8 vain. I think it's going to be The best bang for the buck you can get. It's actually a 160 but all of the 155 stuff fits on it.

I'm not aware of the solas 148 coming with bearings, but I assumed it would use the same driveshaft and bearings as a 144 setup uses.

I actually do have and for a short period of time ran an OEM 155 setup. I pulled it to swap out the R&D pump seal and replace it with an SBT seal I picked up from JetManiac. When I pulled the pump I recognized the driveshaft spline was only engaging about half an inch into the midshaft.

I had sent the the OEM driveshaft to Chris to have cut and even thought I told him it was for an OEM 155 setup, I think the driveshaft ended up too short. I haven't contacted him about it yet, but I'll see if he can do anything to help me out.

Sasquachcrap's 155 8 vane is a sold choice because its a large hub and that really more important than the # of vanes. Got to ride it in his Chan and it made a huge improvement

Sasquatch,

Question about this large hub setup of yours. My OEM 155 pump came out of a 98 XL1200 (non-powervalve version). How is the hub size of your stator section differ from the 155 stator I have?

Also I had to grind the bottom of the stator/reduction nozzle sections as my ride plate wouldn't bolt up without doing so. With that said, I suspect I'd have a bigger issue with a 160 stator section.

They outside diameter is the same as the 155 wiring and reduction nozzle. The difference is in the inside where you have the 75 mm hub similar to the skat or the max pumps. Picture to reference hub size only 144 to 155

Was thinking of putting a 155 in my Phantom, but the cost is crazy. Found this deal online for a Solas 148 setup. Is upgrading from a 144 to 148 even make sense or is 2K for 155 setup worth it because the benefit you would realize?

That's the cheapest Solas 148 set up i've seen, Which website is that off? It does say 08+ Sj where i want pre 08. I have just bought a 155 but i'm not convinced it'll be any good in surf. A friend of mine has just swapped from a 144 solas to 148 H20 and he said the hook up is a huge difference.

I rode Taylor Curtiss's Edge with 701 and Stock 155. It was impressive as hell.
Didn't Rok or Rick flatwater flip a stock SJ driveline transplanted in one of the Rickter hulls? They have that set-up dialed. I'd be curious what all they did to the pump setup. Seems they got it tuned as good as it can get.
