PUDDLE - BLASTER
S#W#E#E#T , need shades just to look at it.....
I vote that you ride it. wax it and clean it and store it somewhere dry and it should look great for years.I'm completely new to stand ups. Just started riding at the end of last season. When I picked up my FX1. It's a pretty mint '05. I love the ski - I have been told to put this one away (because it's so clean) and buy something else to ride.. do you guys subscribe to that? I just want to ride it and try to take care of it. Probably leave it stock?

Don't use a cover. I bought one for my 2013 superjet and after one trip I took it off and saw that the wind had whipped the cover against the ski so much it scratched the hell out of it. My ski is black though so surface scratches show up more. Now I only use my cover for storage, not transport. Just my two cents. That's what I'm thinking too. No mods - just learn, ride and have fun... The only thing that makes me a little nervous is that I will be using it in TN and OHIO. Transporting regularly on a hitch carrier. Has anyone heard of a good towable cover for the FX1 like the make for the newer couch skis?

I was using an OEM Yamaha cover. They don't get much more expensive than that...Maybe someone makes one with a microfiber liner?
You might be ok with a white ski regardless. Black is a nightmare.
I hope I can join the fx1 club.

There is one 1/2 sunk in the shallows/weeds of a small lake in brighton Michigan. Been there forever .....there’s a story about it but can’t really remember. I believe it belongs to the owner of the house in front. A sad story I recall.....
